I first got internet access at home in, I think, 1994. Prior to that, I would ask my friend to print me out pages of Prodigy posts (RIP Kurt Cobain). Ahhhh simpler times.
Anyway, I am not seeking to brag 😉 — rather, I am personally offended what these asshats have done to the web. It’s a disgrace! Every link takes you to yet _another_ marketing funnel. Like, honestly, how is it even possible? This nonsense is out of hand.
So, to do my part, I have been working on magickbeans.com (with the help of a few devs who are good at js cuz I’m sure not). My goal for the site is to make stuff for people to do for good ol’ fashion enjoyment: no tracking, no dark patterns, etc. — none of that BS. Computers were made by and for humans. Let’s please please please not get it twisted.
